Some teas may be scented with flowers to enhance the flavor. Jasmine green tea is a common scented tea. Flower scented teas are different than most flavored teas in that the scented teas are usually scented during the oxidation processing. Flowers are tossed with the teas leaves to give the teas the floral flavor. Some jasmine green tea requires up to 20 pounds of jasmine flowers to scent one pound of finished jasmine green tea.
